Sun Daily to build super-size layer hatchery in China.

For years, Viscon has been working closely with a number of large players in the breeder and layer markets all throughout Asia. Over these years, Viscon has become accustomed and familiar with the requirements necessary to get projects, both renovation and greenfield off the ground and to a strong, steady start. Companies such as Huayu (Hy-Line distributor in China), Yukou Poultry, Cobb China, Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) all have Viscon Hatchery Automation within their operations already.

Viscon is strengthening its relationship further in the Chinese market with Sun Daily Farms (Lohmann distributor), installing what is being called ‘a super-size hatchery’ in the Guizhou province of China. This super-size hatchery will have a capacity of 125mln chicks per year.

Chick handling is required to conform to the highest of standards of animal welfare, all in the while, considering the processes required surrounding gender sorting, vaccination and counting. Ergonomic work positions, better work environments and labor reducing elements are all part of the Viscon experience of automation regarding the human impact within the hatchery environment.
